ຊາມູເອນ ສະບັບທີສອງ

1	ໃນປີຕໍ່ມາ ພໍຕົກລະດູແລ້ງ ເປັນລະດູທີ່ບັນດາເຈົ້າຊີວິດໄດ້ເຄີຍອອກໄປຮົບເສິກ ດາວິດກໍສັ່ງໂຢອາບ ພ້ອມທັງພວກນາຍທະຫານຂອງພະອົງ ແລະກອງທັບອິສຣາເອນອອກໄປ ພວກເຂົາໄດ້ຊະນະຊາວອຳໂມນ ແລະອ້ອມເມືອງຣັບບາໄວ້ ແຕ່ດາວິດໄດ້ຢູ່ໃນນະຄອນເຢຣູຊາເລັມ.	And it came to pass, at the return of the year, at the time when kings go out [to battle], that David sent Joab, and his servants with him, and all Israel; and they destroyed the children of Ammon, and besieged Rabbah. But David tarried at Jerusalem.
2	ໃນຕອນແລງຂອງມື້ນັ້ນ ດາວິດໄດ້ຕື່ນແຕ່ນອນ ຂຶ້ນໄປເທິງຫລັງຄາພຽງຂອງພະລາຊະວັງ ພະອົງໄດ້ຍ່າງໄປມາເທິງຫລັງຄານັ້ນ ພະອົງຈຶ່ງເຫັນຍິງຄົນໜຶ່ງກຳລັງອາບນ້ຳຢູ່ ນາງເປັນຄົນງາມຫລາຍ.	And it came to pass at eventide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king's house: and from the roof he saw a woman bathing; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon.
3	ດັ່ງນັ້ນ ດາວິດກໍສົ່ງຄົນອອກໄປສືບຖາມເບິ່ງວ່ານາງເປັນໃຜ? ແລ້ວໄດ້ຮູ້ວ່ານາງຊື່ວ່າບັດເຊບາລູກສາວຂອງເອລີອາມ ແລະເປັນເມຍຂອງອູຣີຢາຊາວຮິດຕີ.	And David send and inquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bath-sheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?
4	ດາວິດໄດ້ສົ່ງຄົນໄປນຳເອົານາງມາ ພວກເຂົາກໍພານາງມາຫາພະອົງ ແລ້ວດາວິດກໍສົມສູ່ຢູ່ກັບນາງ ຫລັງຈາກນັ້ນນາງກໍກັບເມືອເຮືອນ (ໃນລະຫວ່າງນີ້ເປັນເວລາທີ່ນາງເຊົາເປັນລະດູ ແລະເຮັດພິທີຊຳລະຕົນໃຫ້ບໍລິສຸດແລ້ວໆ)	And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her (for she was purified from her uncleanness); and she returned unto her house.
5	ເມື່ອນາງຮູ້ວ່ານາງຖືພາ ນາງກໍສົ່ງຂ່າວໄປບອກດາວິດ.	And the woman conceived; and she sent and told David, and said, I am with child.
6	ສ່ວນດາວິດກໍສົ່ງຂ່າວໄປຫາໂຢອາບວ່າ, “ໃຫ້ທ່ານສົ່ງອູຣີຢາ ຄົນຮິດຕີມາຫາຂ້ອຍແດ່” ໂຢອາບກໍສົ່ງອູຣີຢາໄປຫາດາວິດ.	And David sent to Joab, [saying], Send me Uriah the Hittite. And Joab sent Uriah to David.
7	ເມື່ອອູຣີຢາມາຮອດ ດາວິດກໍຖາມລາວວ່າ ໂຢອາບແລະກອງທະຫານຍັງສະບາຍດີຢູ່ບໍ ແລະການຕໍ່ສູ້ເດເປັນຢ່າງໃດ.	And when Uriah was come unto him, David asked of him how Joab did, and how the people fared, and how the war prospered.
8	ແລ້ວດາວິດກໍບອກອູຣີຢາວ່າ, “ຈົ່ງກັບຄືນເມືອພັກຜ່ອນຈັກຄາວຢູ່ເຮືອນເຈົ້າສາ” ອູຣີຢາກໍຈາກໄປ ດາວິດໄດ້ຈັດຂອງຂວັນນຳສົ່ງໃຫ້ລາວໄປເຖິງເຮືອນ.	And David said to Uriah, Go down to thy house, and wash thy feet. And Uriah departed out of the king's house, and there followed him a mess [of food] from the king.
9	ແຕ່ວ່າ ແທນທີ່ອູຣີຢາຈະເມືອເຮືອນ ລາວກັບໄປນອນທີ່ປະຕູກຳແພງພະລາຊະວັງນຳທະຫານຂອງເຈົ້າຊີວິດ.	But Uriah slept at the door of the king's house with all the servants of his lord, and went not down to his house.
10	ເມື່ອດາວິດຮູ້ວ່າ ອູຣີຢາບໍ່ໄດ້ເມືອເຮືອນ ພະອົງຈຶ່ງຖາມລາວວ່າ, “ເຈົ້າບໍ່ໄດ້ກັບຄືນເມືອເຮືອນແຕ່ດົນແລ້ວບໍ? ເປັນຫຍັງຈຶ່ງບໍ່ເມືອຮອດເຮືອນປານນີ້.”	And when they had told David, saying, Uriah went not down unto his house, David said unto Uriah, Art thou not come from a journey? wherefore didst thou not go down unto thy house?
11	ອູຣີຢາທູນຕອບວ່າ, “ທະຫານອິສຣາເອນ ແລະຢູດາກໍກຳລັງຢູ່ໃນສະໜາມຮົບ ສ່ວນຫີບຄຳສັນຍາກໍຢູ່ກັບພວກເຂົາ ແລະໂຢອາບຜູ້ບັງຄັບບັນຊາຂອງຂ້ານ້ອຍ ພ້ອມທັງພວກນາຍທະຫານຂອງເພິ່ນກໍຕັ້ງຄ້າຍພັກຢູ່ທາງອອກນັ້ນ ເຫດໃດຂ້ານ້ອຍຈຶ່ງຈະກັບເມືອກິນເຂົ້າ ກິນນ້ຳ ແລະນອນນຳເມຍຢູ່ເຮືອນໄດ້? ຂ້ານ້ອຍຂໍສາບານຕໍ່ພຣະເຈົ້າອົງມີຊີວິດຢູ່ວ່າ ຂ້ານ້ອຍຈະບໍ່ເຮັດຢ່າງນີ້ເດັດຂາດ.”	And Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in booths; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open field; shall I then go into my house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing.
12	ດາວິດກໍເວົ້າວ່າ, “ສຳລັບມື້ນີ້ໃຫ້ເຈົ້າພັກຢູ່ນີ້ເສຍກ່ອນ ມື້ອື່ນຂ້ອຍຈະສົ່ງເຈົ້າກັບຄືນເມືອ” ດັ່ງນັ້ນ ໃນມື້ນັ້ນ ແລະມື້ຕໍ່ມາ ອູຣີຢາຈຶ່ງພັກຢູ່ນະຄອນເຢຣູຊາເລັມ.	And David said to Uriah, Tarry here to-day also, and to-morrow I will let thee depart. So Uriah abode in Jerusalem that day, and the morrow.
13	ດາວິດໄດ້ເຊີນໃຫ້ລາວມາກິນເຂົ້ານຳ ແລະເກືອເຫລົ້າລາວໃຫ້ເມົາ ແຕ່ວ່າໃນຄືນນັ້ນ ອູຣີຢາກໍຍັງບໍ່ກັບຄືນເມືອເຮືອນ ລາວນອນຮົ່ມຜ້າຢູ່ໃນຫ້ອງພະລາຊະວັງ.	And when David had called him, he did eat and drink before him; and he made him drunk: and at even he went out to lie on his bed with the servants of his lord, but went not down to his house.
14	ເຊົ້າມື້ໃໝ່ມາ ດາວິດໄດ້ຂຽນຈົດໝາຍສົ່ງນຳອູຣີຢາໄປຫາໂຢອາບ.	And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah.
15	ພະອົງຂຽນວ່າ, “ໃຫ້ເຈົ້າສົ່ງອູຣີຢາໄປແນວໜ້າບ່ອນທີ່ເຂົາສູ້ຮົບກັນຢ່າງໜັກ ແລ້ວໃຫ້ພວກເຈົ້າເອງຖອຍຄືນຫລັງ ເພື່ອປ່ອຍໃຫ້ອູຣີຢາຖືກຂ້າຕາຍຢູ່ທີ່ນັ້ນ.”	And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die.
16	ດັ່ງນັ້ນ ໃນຂະນະທີ່ໂຢອາບກຳລັງອ້ອມເມືອງຢູ່ນັ້ນ ໂຢອາບໄດ້ສົ່ງອູຣີຢາອອກໄປໃນບ່ອນທີ່ລາວຮູ້ວ່າ ມີພວກສັດຕູເຂັ້ມແຂງຫລາຍ.	And it came to pass, when Joab kept watch upon the city, that he assigned Uriah unto the place where he knew that valiant men were.
17	ເມື່ອກອງທັບສັດຕູອອກມາຈາກເມືອງກໍໄດ້ພົບກັບກຳລັງຂອງໂຢອາບ ແລະໄດ້ເກີດການສູ້ຮົບກັນຂຶ້ນທັນທີ ພວກນາຍທະຫານຂອງດາວິດບາງຄົນລວມທັງອູຣີຢາກໍຖືກສັດຕູສັງຫານ.	And the men of the city went out, and fought with Joab: and there fell some of the people, even of the servants of David; and Uriah the Hittite died also.
18-19	ຕໍ່ມາ ໂຢອາບກໍສົ່ງລາຍງານການຮົບເສິກໄປບອກດາວິດ ລາວໄດ້ແນະນຳຜູ້ນຳຂ່າວວ່າ, “ຫລັງຈາກທີ່ເຈົ້າໄດ້ລາຍງານທຸກສິ່ງກ່ຽວກັບການສູ້ຮົບແກ່ເຈົ້າຊີວິດແລ້ວ.	Then Joab sent and told David all the things concerning the war; and he charged the messenger, saying, When thou hast made an end of telling all the things concerning the war unto the king,
20	ບາງທີ່ພະອົງຈະໃຈຮ້າຍ ແລະອາດຖາມເຈົ້າວ່າ “ເປັນຫຍັງພວກເຈົ້າຈຶ່ງເຂົ້າໄປສູ້ຮົບກັບເຂົາຢູ່ໃກ້ເມືອງແທ້? ພວກເຈົ້າບໍ່ຄິດບໍວ່າ ພວກເຂົາຈະຕ້ອງຍິງທະນູອອກຈາກກຳແພງເມືອງໃສ່ພວກເຈົ້າ?	it shall be that, if the king's wrath arise, and he say unto thee, Wherefore went ye so nigh unto the city to fight? knew ye not that they would shoot from the wall?
21	ພວກເຈົ້າບໍ່ຈື່ບໍ ເວລາທີ່ພວກອາບີເມເລັກ ລູກຊາຍຂອງເຢຣູເບເຊັດຖືກຂ້າຕາຍນັ້ນວ່າເປັນຢ່າງໃດ? ຄືພວກຜູ້ຍິງໃນເມືອງເທເບດ ໄດ້ແກວ່ງຫີນໂມ້ແປ້ງລົງມາຈາກກຳແພງເມືອງຖືກອາບີເມເລັກຕາຍ ແລ້ວເປັນຫຍັງພວກເຈົ້າຈຶ່ງເຂົ້າໄປໃກ້ກຳແພງເມືອງແທ້? ຖ້າເຈົ້າຊີວິດຖາມເຈົ້າດັ່ງນີ້ ຈົ່ງບອກເພິ່ນວ່າ ອູຣີຢານາຍທະຫານຂອງພຣະອົງກໍຖືກຂ້າຄືກັນ.”	who smote Abimelech the son of Jerubbesheth? did not a woman cast an upper millstone upon him from the wall, so that he died at Thebez? why went ye so nigh the wall? then shalt thou say, Thy servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.
22-23	ດັ່ງນັ້ນ ຜູ້ນຳຂ່າວຈຶ່ງກາບທູນດາວິດຕາມທີ່ໂຢອາບໄດ້ສັ່ງ ລາວເວົ້າວ່າ “ພວກສັດຕູມີກຳລັງຫລາຍກວ່າພວກຂ້ານ້ອຍ ພວກເຂົາໄດ້ມາຕໍ່ສູ້ພວກຂ້ານ້ອຍຢູ່ນອກເມືອງ ແຕ່ພວກຂ້ານ້ອຍໄລ່ພວກເຂົາກັບຄືນໄປທາງປະຕູກຳແພງເມືອງ.	So the messenger went, and came and showed David all that Joab had sent him for. And the messenger said unto David, The men prevailed against us, and came out unto us into the field, and we were upon them even unto the entrance of the gate.
24	ແລ້ວພວກເຂົາໄດ້ຍິງລູກທະນູລົງຈາກກຳແພງເມືອງໃສ່ພວກຂ້ານ້ອຍ ພວກນາຍທະຫານບາງຄົນຂອງພະອົງຈຶ່ງຕາຍ ອູຣີຢານາຍທະຫານຂອງພະອົງກໍຕາຍຄືກັນ.”	And the shooters shot at thy servants from off the wall; and some of the king's servants are dead, and thy servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.
25	ດາວິດຈຶ່ງເວົ້າຕໍ່ຜູ້ນຳຂ່າວນັ້ນວາ, “ຈົ່ງໃຫ້ກຳລັງໃຈແກ່ໂຢອາບ ແລະບອກລາວຢ່າໃຫ້ເສຍໃຈ ເພາະໃຜກໍບໍ່ສາມາດບອກໄດ້ວ່າ ແມ່ນໃຜແດ່ຈະຖືກຂ້າຕາຍໃນສະໜາມຮົບ ຈົ່ງບອກໃຫ້ລາວປະກາດການສູ້ຮົບຄັ້ງຍິ່ງໃຫຍ່ກັບເມືອງນັ້ນ ແລະຍຶດເອົາເມືອງນັ້ນສາ.”	Then David said unto the messenger, Thus shalt thou say unto Joab, Let not this thing displease thee, for the sword devoureth one as well as another; make thy battle more strong against the city, and overthrow it: and encourage thou him.
26	ເມື່ອບັດເຊບາໄດ້ຍິນຂ່າວວ່າຜົວຂອງຕົນຖືກຂ້າ ນາງກໍໄດ້ໄວ້ທຸກໃຫ້ລາວ.	And when the wife of Uriah heard that Uriah her husband was dead, she made lamentation for her husband.
27	ຄັນການໄວ້ທຸກນັ້ນຜ່ານໄປແລ້ວ ດາວິດກໍເອົາບັດເຊບາມາຢູ່ໃນພະລາຊະວັງ ນາງກາຍເປັນເມຍຂອງພະອົງແລະໄດ້ລູກຊາຍກັບພະອົງໜຶ່ງຄົນ ແຕ່ວ່າ ພຣະຜູ້ເປັນເຈົ້າບໍ່ຊົງພໍພຣະໄທກັບສິ່ງທີ່ດາວິດໄດ້ເຮັດນັ້ນ.	And when the mourning was past, David sent and took her home to his house, and she became his wife, and bare him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased Jehovah.
