But David tarried at Jerusalem.
2ໃນ​ຕອນ​ແລງ​ຂອງ​ມື້​ນັ້ນ ດາ­ວິດໄດ້​ຕື່ນ​ແຕ່​ນອນ ຂຶ້ນ​ໄປ​ເທິງ​ຫລັງ­ຄາ​ພຽງ​ຂອງ​ພະ­ລາ­ຊະ­ວັງ ພະ​ອົງ​ໄດ້​ຍ່າງ​ໄປ​ມາ​ເທິງ​ຫລັງ­ຄາ​ນັ້ນ ພະ​ອົງ​ຈຶ່ງ​ເຫັນ​ຍິງ​ຄົນ​ໜຶ່ງ​ກຳ­ລັງ​ອາບ­ນ້ຳ​ຢູ່ ນາງ​ເປັນ​ຄົນ​ງາມ​ຫລາຍ.And it came to pass at eventide, that David arose from off his bed, and walked upon the roof of the king's house: and from the roof he saw a woman bathing; and the woman was very beautiful to look upon.
3ດັ່ງ­ນັ້ນ ດາ­ວິດກໍ​ສົ່ງ​ຄົນ​ອອກ​ໄປ​ສືບ​ຖາມ​ເບິ່ງ​ວ່າ​ນາງ​ເປັນ​ໃຜ? ແລ້ວ​ໄດ້​ຮູ້​ວ່າ​ນາງ​ຊື່­ວ່າບັດ­ເຊ­ບາລູກ​ສາວ​ຂອງເອ­ລີ­ອາມ ແລະ​ເປັນ​ເມຍ​ຂອງອູ­ຣີ­ຢາຊາວຮິດ­ຕີ.And David send and inquired after the woman. And one said, Is not this Bath-sheba, the daughter of Eliam, the wife of Uriah the Hittite?
4ດາ­ວິດໄດ້​ສົ່ງ​ຄົນ​ໄປ​ນຳ​ເອົາ​ນາງ​ມາ ພວກ​ເຂົາ​ກໍ​ພາ​ນາງ​ມາ​ຫາ​ພະ​ອົງ ແລ້ວດາ­ວິດກໍ​ສົມ­ສູ່​ຢູ່​ກັບ​ນາງ ຫລັງ​ຈາກ​ນັ້ນ​ນາງ​ກໍ​ກັບ​ເມືອ​ເຮືອນ (ໃນ​ລະ­ຫວ່າງ​ນີ້​ເປັນ​ເວ­ລາ​ທີ່​ນາງ​ເຊົາ​ເປັນ​ລະ­ດູ ແລະ​ເຮັດ​ພິ­ທີ​ຊຳ­ລະ​ຕົນ​ໃຫ້​ບໍ­ລິ­ສຸດ​ແລ້ວໆ)And David sent messengers, and took her; and she came in unto him, and he lay with her (for she was purified from her uncleanness); and she returned unto her house.
5ເມື່ອ​ນາງ​ຮູ້​ວ່າ​ນາງ​ຖື­ພາ ນາງ​ກໍ​ສົ່ງ​ຂ່າວ​ໄປ​ບອກດາ­ວິດ.And the woman conceived; and she sent and told David, and said, I am with child.
6ສ່ວນດາ­ວິດກໍ​ສົ່ງ​ຂ່າວ​ໄປ​ຫາໂຢ­ອາບວ່າ, “ໃຫ້​ທ່ານ​ສົ່ງອູ­ຣີ­ຢາ ຄົນຮິດ­ຕີມາ​ຫາ​ຂ້ອຍ​ແດ່” ໂຢ­ອາບກໍ​ສົ່ງອູ­ຣີ­ຢາໄປ​ຫາດາ­ວິດ.And David sent to Joab, [saying], Send me Uriah the Hittite. And Joab sent Uriah to David.
7ເມື່ອອູ­ຣີ­ຢາມາ​ຮອດ ດາ­ວິດກໍ​ຖາມ​ລາວ​ວ່າ ໂຢ­ອາບແລະ​ກອງ​ທະ­ຫານ​ຍັງ​ສະ­ບາຍ­ດີ​ຢູ່​ບໍ ແລະ​ການ​ຕໍ່­ສູ້​ເດ​ເປັນ​ຢ່າງ­ໃດ.And when Uriah was come unto him, David asked of him how Joab did, and how the people fared, and how the war prospered.
8ແລ້ວດາ­ວິດກໍ​ບອກອູ­ຣີ­ຢາວ່າ, “ຈົ່ງ​ກັບ​ຄືນ​ເມືອ​ພັກ­ຜ່ອນ​ຈັກ​ຄາວ​ຢູ່​ເຮືອນ​ເຈົ້າ​ສາ” ອູ­ຣີ­ຢາກໍ​ຈາກ​ໄປ ດາ­ວິດໄດ້​ຈັດ​ຂອງ­ຂວັນ​ນຳ​ສົ່ງ​ໃຫ້​ລາວ​ໄປ​ເຖິງ​ເຮືອນ.And David said to Uriah, Go down to thy house, and wash thy feet. And Uriah departed out of the king's house, and there followed him a mess [of food] from the king.
9ແຕ່​ວ່າ ແທນ​ທີ່ອູ­ຣີ­ຢາຈະ​ເມືອ​ເຮືອນ ລາວ​ກັບ​ໄປ​ນອນ​ທີ່​ປະ­ຕູ​ກຳ­ແພງ​ພະ­ລາ­ຊະ­ວັງ​ນຳ​ທະ­ຫານ​ຂອງ​ເຈົ້າ​ຊີ­ວິດ.But Uriah slept at the door of the king's house with all the servants of his lord, and went not down to his house.
10ເມື່ອດາ­ວິດຮູ້​ວ່າ ອູ­ຣີ­ຢາບໍ່​ໄດ້​ເມືອ​ເຮືອນ ພະ​ອົງ​ຈຶ່ງ​ຖາມ​ລາວ​ວ່າ, “ເຈົ້າ​ບໍ່​ໄດ້​ກັບ​ຄືນ​ເມືອ​ເຮືອນ​ແຕ່​ດົນ​ແລ້ວ​ບໍ? ເປັນ​ຫຍັງ​ຈຶ່ງ​ບໍ່​ເມືອ​ຮອດ​ເຮືອນ​ປານ​ນີ້.”And when they had told David, saying, Uriah went not down unto his house, David said unto Uriah, Art thou not come from a journey? wherefore didst thou not go down unto thy house?
11ອູ­ຣີ­ຢາທູນ​ຕອບ​ວ່າ, “ທະ­ຫານອິ­ສຣາ­ເອນ ແລະຢູ­ດາກໍ​ກຳ­ລັງ​ຢູ່​ໃນ​ສະ­ໜາມ­ຮົບ ສ່ວນ​ຫີບ​ຄຳ​ສັນ­ຍາ​ກໍ​ຢູ່​ກັບ​ພວກ​ເຂົາ ແລະໂຢ­ອາບຜູ້​ບັງ­ຄັບ​ບັນ­ຊາ​ຂອງ​ຂ້າ­ນ້ອຍ ພ້ອມ​ທັງ​ພວກ​ນາຍ​ທະ­ຫານ​ຂອງ​ເພິ່ນ​ກໍ​ຕັ້ງ​ຄ້າຍ​ພັກ​ຢູ່​ທາງ​ອອກ​ນັ້ນ ເຫດ​ໃດ​ຂ້າ­ນ້ອຍ​ຈຶ່ງ​ຈະ​ກັບ​ເມືອ​ກິນ​ເຂົ້າ ກິນ​ນ້ຳ ແລະ​ນອນ​ນຳ​ເມຍ​ຢູ່​ເຮືອນ​ໄດ້? ຂ້າ­ນ້ອຍ​ຂໍ​ສາ­ບານ​ຕໍ່ພຣະ­ເຈົ້າອົງ​ມີ​ຊີ­ວິດ​ຢູ່​ວ່າ ຂ້າ­ນ້ອຍ​ຈະ​ບໍ່​ເຮັດ​ຢ່າງ​ນີ້​ເດັດ­ຂາດ.”And Uriah said unto David, The ark, and Israel, and Judah, abide in booths; and my lord Joab, and the servants of my lord, are encamped in the open field; shall I then go into my house, to eat and to drink, and to lie with my wife? as thou livest, and as thy soul liveth, I will not do this thing.
12ດາ­ວິດກໍ​ເວົ້າ​ວ່າ, “ສຳ­ລັບ​ມື້­ນີ້​ໃຫ້​ເຈົ້າ​ພັກ​ຢູ່​ນີ້​ເສຍ​ກ່ອນ ມື້­ອື່ນ​ຂ້ອຍ​ຈະ​ສົ່ງ​ເຈົ້າ​ກັບ​ຄືນ​ເມືອ” ດັ່ງ­ນັ້ນ ໃນ​ມື້​ນັ້ນ ແລະ​ມື້­ຕໍ່­ມາ ອູ­ຣີ­ຢາຈຶ່ງ​ພັກ​ຢູ່​ນະ­ຄອນເຢ­ຣູ­ຊາ­ເລັມ.And David said to Uriah, Tarry here to-day also, and to-morrow I will let thee depart. So Uriah abode in Jerusalem that day, and the morrow.
13ດາ­ວິດໄດ້​ເຊີນ​ໃຫ້​ລາວ​ມາ​ກິນ​ເຂົ້າ​ນຳ ແລະ​ເກືອ​ເຫລົ້າ​ລາວ​ໃຫ້​ເມົາ ແຕ່​ວ່າ​ໃນ​ຄືນ​ນັ້ນ ອູ­ຣີ­ຢາກໍ​ຍັງ​ບໍ່​ກັບ​ຄືນ​ເມືອ​ເຮືອນ ລາວ​ນອນ​ຮົ່ມ​ຜ້າ​ຢູ່​ໃນ​ຫ້ອງ​ພະ­ລາ­ຊະ­ວັງ.And when David had called him, he did eat and drink before him; and he made him drunk: and at even he went out to lie on his bed with the servants of his lord, but went not down to his house.
14ເຊົ້າ​ມື້​ໃໝ່​ມາ ດາ­ວິດໄດ້​ຂຽນ​ຈົດ­ໝາຍ​ສົ່ງ​ນຳອູ­ຣີ­ຢາໄປ​ຫາໂຢ­ອາບ.And it came to pass in the morning, that David wrote a letter to Joab, and sent it by the hand of Uriah.
15ພະ​ອົງ​ຂຽນ​ວ່າ, “ໃຫ້​ເຈົ້າ​ສົ່ງອູ­ຣີ­ຢາໄປ​ແນວ​ໜ້າ​ບ່ອນ​ທີ່​ເຂົາ​ສູ້​ຮົບ​ກັນ​ຢ່າງ​ໜັກ ແລ້ວ​ໃຫ້​ພວກ​ເຈົ້າ​ເອງ​ຖອຍ​ຄືນ​ຫລັງ ເພື່ອ​ປ່ອຍ​ໃຫ້ອູ­ຣີ­ຢາຖືກ​ຂ້າ​ຕາຍ​ຢູ່​ທີ່​ນັ້ນ.”And he wrote in the letter, saying, Set ye Uriah in the forefront of the hottest battle, and retire ye from him, that he may be smitten, and die.
16ດັ່ງ­ນັ້ນ ໃນ​ຂະ­ນະ​ທີ່ໂຢ­ອາບກຳ­ລັງ​ອ້ອມ​ເມືອງ​ຢູ່​ນັ້ນ ໂຢ­ອາບໄດ້​ສົ່ງອູ­ຣີ­ຢາອອກ​ໄປ​ໃນ​ບ່ອນ​ທີ່​ລາວ​ຮູ້​ວ່າ ມີ​ພວກ​ສັດ­ຕູ​ເຂັ້ມ­ແຂງ​ຫລາຍ.And it came to pass, when Joab kept watch upon the city, that he assigned Uriah unto the place where he knew that valiant men were.
17ເມື່ອ​ກອງ­ທັບ​ສັດ­ຕູ​ອອກ​ມາ​ຈາກ​ເມືອງ​ກໍ​ໄດ້​ພົບ​ກັບ​ກຳ­ລັງ​ຂອງໂຢ­ອາບ ແລະ​ໄດ້​ເກີດ​ການ​ສູ້​ຮົບ​ກັນ​ຂຶ້ນ​ທັນ­ທີ ພວກ​ນາຍ​ທະ­ຫານ​ຂອງດາ­ວິດບາງ​ຄົນ​ລວມ​ທັງອູ­ຣີ­ຢາກໍ​ຖືກ​ສັດ­ຕູ​ສັງ­ຫານ.And the men of the city went out, and fought with Joab: and there fell some of the people, even of the servants of David; and Uriah the Hittite died also.
18-19ຕໍ່​ມາ ໂຢ­ອາບກໍ​ສົ່ງ​ລາຍ​ງານ​ການ​ຮົບ​ເສິກ​ໄປ​ບອກດາ­ວິດ ລາວ​ໄດ້​ແນະ­ນຳ​ຜູ້­ນຳ​ຂ່າວ​ວ່າ, “ຫລັງ​ຈາກ​ທີ່​ເຈົ້າ​ໄດ້​ລາຍ​ງານ​ທຸກ​ສິ່ງ​ກ່ຽວ​ກັບ​ການ​ສູ້​ຮົບ​ແກ່​ເຈົ້າ​ຊີ­ວິດ​ແລ້ວ.Then Joab sent and told David all the things concerning the war; and he charged the messenger, saying, When thou hast made an end of telling all the things concerning the war unto the king,
20ບາງ​ທີ່​ພະ​ອົງ​ຈະ​ໃຈ​ຮ້າຍ ແລະ​ອາດ​ຖາມ​ເຈົ້າ​ວ່າ “ເປັນ​ຫຍັງ​ພວກ​ເຈົ້າ​ຈຶ່ງ​ເຂົ້າ​ໄປ​ສູ້​ຮົບ​ກັບ​ເຂົາ​ຢູ່​ໃກ້​ເມືອງ​ແທ້? ພວກ​ເຈົ້າ​ບໍ່​ຄິດ​ບໍ​ວ່າ ພວກ​ເຂົາ​ຈະ​ຕ້ອງ​ຍິງ​ທະ­ນູ​ອອກ​ຈາກ​ກຳ­ແພງ​ເມືອງ​ໃສ່​ພວກ​ເຈົ້າ?it shall be that, if the king's wrath arise, and he say unto thee, Wherefore went ye so nigh unto the city to fight? knew ye not that they would shoot from the wall?
21ພວກ​ເຈົ້າ​ບໍ່​ຈື່​ບໍ ເວ­ລາ​ທີ່​ພວກອາ­ບີ­ເມ­ເລັກ ລູກ​ຊາຍ​ຂອງເຢ­ຣູ­ເບ­ເຊັດຖືກ​ຂ້າ​ຕາຍ​ນັ້ນ​ວ່າ​ເປັນ​ຢ່າງ­ໃດ? ຄື​ພວກ​ຜູ້­ຍິງ​ໃນ​ເມືອງເທ­ເບດ ໄດ້​ແກວ່ງ​ຫີນ​ໂມ້​ແປ້ງ​ລົງ​ມາ​ຈາກ​ກຳ­ແພງ​ເມືອງ​ຖືກອາ­ບີ­ເມ­ເລັກຕາຍ ແລ້ວ​ເປັນ​ຫຍັງ​ພວກ​ເຈົ້າ​ຈຶ່ງ​ເຂົ້າ​ໄປ​ໃກ້​ກຳ­ແພງ​ເມືອງ​ແທ້? ຖ້າ​ເຈົ້າ​ຊີ­ວິດ​ຖາມ​ເຈົ້າ​ດັ່ງ­ນີ້ ຈົ່ງ​ບອກ​ເພິ່ນ​ວ່າ ອູ­ຣີ­ຢານາຍ​ທະ­ຫານ​ຂອງ​ພຣະ­ອົງ​ກໍ​ຖືກ​ຂ້າ​ຄື​ກັນ.”who smote Abimelech the son of Jerubbesheth? did not a woman cast an upper millstone upon him from the wall, so that he died at Thebez? why went ye so nigh the wall? then shalt thou say, Thy servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.
22-23ດັ່ງ­ນັ້ນ ຜູ້­ນຳ​ຂ່າວ​ຈຶ່ງ​ກາບ​ທູນດາ­ວິດຕາມ​ທີ່ໂຢ­ອາບໄດ້​ສັ່ງ ລາວ​ເວົ້າ​ວ່າ “ພວກ​ສັດ­ຕູ​ມີ​ກຳ­ລັງ​ຫລາຍ​ກວ່າ​ພວກ​ຂ້າ­ນ້ອຍ ພວກ​ເຂົາ​ໄດ້​ມາ​ຕໍ່­ສູ້​ພວກ​ຂ້າ­ນ້ອຍ​ຢູ່​ນອກ​ເມືອງ ແຕ່​ພວກ​ຂ້າ­ນ້ອຍ​ໄລ່​ພວກ​ເຂົາ​ກັບ​ຄືນ​ໄປ​ທາງ​ປະ­ຕູ​ກຳ­ແພງ​ເມືອງ.So the messenger went, and came and showed David all that Joab had sent him for. And the messenger said unto David, The men prevailed against us, and came out unto us into the field, and we were upon them even unto the entrance of the gate.
24ແລ້ວ​ພວກ​ເຂົາ​ໄດ້​ຍິງ​ລູກ​ທະ­ນູ​ລົງ​ຈາກ​ກຳ­ແພງ​ເມືອງ​ໃສ່​ພວກ​ຂ້າ­ນ້ອຍ ພວກ​ນາຍ​ທະ­ຫານ​ບາງ​ຄົນ​ຂອງ​ພະ​ອົງ​ຈຶ່ງ​ຕາຍ ອູ­ຣີ­ຢານາຍ​ທະ­ຫານ​ຂອງ​ພະ​ອົງ​ກໍ​ຕາຍ​ຄື​ກັນ.”And the shooters shot at thy servants from off the wall; and some of the king's servants are dead, and thy servant Uriah the Hittite is dead also.
25ດາ­ວິດຈຶ່ງ​ເວົ້າ​ຕໍ່​ຜູ້­ນຳ​ຂ່າວ​ນັ້ນ​ວາ, “ຈົ່ງ​ໃຫ້​ກຳ­ລັງ​ໃຈ​ແກ່ໂຢ­ອາບ ແລະ​ບອກ​ລາວ​ຢ່າ​ໃຫ້​ເສຍ​ໃຈ ເພາະ​ໃຜ​ກໍ​ບໍ່​ສາ­ມາດ​ບອກ​ໄດ້​ວ່າ ແມ່ນ​ໃຜ​ແດ່​ຈະ​ຖືກ​ຂ້າ​ຕາຍ​ໃນ​ສະ­ໜາມ­ຮົບ ຈົ່ງ​ບອກ​ໃຫ້​ລາວ​ປະ­ກາດ​ການ​ສູ້​ຮົບ​ຄັ້ງ​ຍິ່ງ​ໃຫຍ່​ກັບ​ເມືອງ​ນັ້ນ ແລະ​ຍຶດ​ເອົາ​ເມືອງ​ນັ້ນ​ສາ.”Then David said unto the messenger, Thus shalt thou say unto Joab, Let not this thing displease thee, for the sword devoureth one as well as another; make thy battle more strong against the city, and overthrow it: and encourage thou him.
26ເມື່ອບັດ­ເຊ­ບາໄດ້​ຍິນ​ຂ່າວ​ວ່າ​ຜົວ​ຂອງ​ຕົນ​ຖືກ​ຂ້າ ນາງ​ກໍ​ໄດ້​ໄວ້​ທຸກ​ໃຫ້​ລາວ.And when the wife of Uriah heard that Uriah her husband was dead, she made lamentation for her husband.
27ຄັນ​ການ​ໄວ້​ທຸກ​ນັ້ນ​ຜ່ານ​ໄປ​ແລ້ວ ດາ­ວິດກໍ​ເອົາບັດ­ເຊ­ບາມາ​ຢູ່​ໃນ​ພະ­ລາ­ຊະ­ວັງ ນາງ​ກາຍ­ເປັນ​ເມຍ​ຂອງ​ພະ​ອົງ​ແລະ​ໄດ້​ລູກ​ຊາຍ​ກັບ​ພະ​ອົງ​ໜຶ່ງ​ຄົນ ແຕ່​ວ່າ ພຣະ­ຜູ້­ເປັນ­ເຈົ້າບໍ່​ຊົງ​ພໍ­ພຣະ­ໄທ​ກັບ​ສິ່ງ​ທີ່ດາ­ວິດໄດ້​ເຮັດ​ນັ້ນ.And when the mourning was past, David sent and took her home to his house, and she became his wife, and bare him a son. But the thing that David had done displeased Jehovah.
