1	ມີຍິງຄົນໜຶ່ງຈາກພວກເມຍຂອງລູກຜູ້ທຳນວາຍຮ້ອງໃສ່ເອລີຊາວ່າ “ຜູ້ຮັບໃຊ້ຂອງທ່ານຄືຜົວຂອງຂ້ານ້ອຍໄດ້ເສຍຊີວິດໄປແລ້ວ ແລະທ່ານກໍຮູ້ຢູ່ແລ້ວວ່າຜູ້ຮັບໃຊ້ຂອງທ່ານຢຳເກງພຣະຜູ້ເປັນເຈົ້າ ແລະເຈົ້າໜີ້ໄດ້ມາເພື່ອຈະໄດ້ຈັບເອົາລູກສອງຄົນຂອງຂ້ານ້ອຍໄປເປັນຂ້າທາດຂອງລາວ”	Now there cried a certain woman of the wives of the sons of the prophets unto Elisha, saying, Thy servant my husband is dead; and thou knowest that thy servant did fear Jehovah: and the creditor is come to take unto him my two children to be bondmen.
2	ເອລີຊາຕອບນາງວ່າ “ບອກຂ້ອຍມາດຸວ່າຈະໃຫ້ຂ້ອຍເຮັດສິ່ງໃດເພື່ອຊ່ວຍເຈົ້າ ຈົ່ງບອກຂ້ອຍເຈົ້າມີສິ່ງໃດໃນເຮືອນຂອງເຈົ້າແດ່?” ແລະນາງຕອບວ່າ “ຂ້າໃຊ້ຍິງຂອງທ່ານບໍ່ມີສິ່ງໃດໃນເຮືອນນອກຈາກນ້ຳມັນໜຶ່ງໝໍ້ດິນ”	And Elisha said unto her, What shall I do for thee? tell me; what hast thou in the house? And she said, Thy handmaid hath not anything in the house, save a pot of oil.
3	ແລ້ວເອລີຊາກ່າວວ່າ “ຈົ່ງອອກໄປນອກບ້ານຂໍຢືມພາຊະນະເປົ່າຈາກເພື່ອນບ້ານທຸກຄົນຂອງເຈົ້າ ແລະຈົ່ງຢືມມາຫລາຍອັນເທົ່າທີ່ຢືມໄດ້	Then he said, Go, borrow thee vessels abroad of all thy neighbors, even empty vessels; borrow not a few.
4	ແລ້ວຈົ່ງເຂົ້າໄປໃນເຮືອນປິດປະຕູຂັງຕົວເຈົ້າ ແລະລູກຊາຍທັງສອງຂອງເຈົ້າໄວ້ ແລະຈົ່ງເທນ້ຳມັນໃສ່ພາຊະນະທັງໝົດ ຖ້າໜ່ວຍໃດເຕັມແລ້ວໃຫ້ຕັ້ງໄວ້ຕ່າງຫາກ”	And thou shalt go in, and shut the door upon thee and upon thy sons, and pour out into all those vessels; and thou shalt set aside that which is full.
5	ຍິງນັ້ນກໍລາໄປ ແລະປິດປະຕູຂັງຕົວນາງ ແລະລູກຊາຍຂອງນາງໄວ້ ລູກຊາຍໄດ້ສົ່ງພາຊະນະມາໃຫ້ ແລະນາງກໍເທນ້ຳມັນໃສ່ບັນດາພາຊະນະເຫລົ່ານັ້ນ	So she went from him, and shut the door upon her and upon her sons; they brought [the vessels] to her, and she poured out.
6	ແລະຢູ່ມາເມື່ອພາຊະນະເຕັມໝົດແລ້ວ ນາງຈຶ່ງບອກລູກຊາຍວ່າ “ເອົາພາຊະນະມາໃຫ້ແມ່ອີກໜ່ວຍໜຶ່ງ” ແລະລາວຕອບນາງວ່າ “ບໍ່ມີອີກແລ້ວ” ແລ້ວນ້ຳມັນກໍຢຸດໄຫລ	And it came to pass, when the vessels were full, that she said unto her son, Bring me yet a vessel. And he said unto her, There is not a vessel more. And the oil stayed.
7	ນາງໄດ້ໄປເລົ່າເລື່ອງນັ້ນໃຫ້ຄົນຂອງພຣະເຈົ້າຟັງ ແລະເພິ່ນບອກວ່າ “ຈົ່ງໄປຂາຍນ້ຳມັນເອົາເງິນໄປຊຳລະໜີ້ຂອງເຈົ້າ ສ່ວນທີ່ເຫລືອ ເຈົ້າ ແລະລູກຂອງເຈົ້າຈົ່ງໃຊ້ລ້ຽງຊີວິດ.”	Then she came and told the man of God. And he said, Go, sell the oil, and pay thy debt, and live thou and thy sons of the rest.
8	ມື້ໜຶ່ງ ເອລີຊາໄດ້ເດີນທາງເຂົ້າໄປຍັງເມືອງຊູເນມ ມີຍິງຖານະດີຜູ້ໜຶ່ງ ເຊີນເພິ່ນໄປກິນເຂົ້ານຳ ແລ້ວທຸກເທື່ອເມື່ອເພິ່ນເດີນທາງມາທາງນີ້ ເພິ່ນກໍແວ່ໄປກິນເຂົ້ານຳສະເໝີ.	And it fell on a day, that Elisha passed to Shunem, where was a great woman; and she constrained him to eat bread. And so it was, that as oft as he passed by, he turned in thither to eat bread.
9	ຍິງຄົນນີ້ໄດ້ເວົ້າກັບຜົວຕົນວ່າ, “ຂ້ອຍເຊື່ອແນ່ວ່າ ຊາຍຜູ້ນີ້ມາເຮືອນເຮົາເລື້ອຍໆ ຈະຕ້ອງເປັນຄົນຂອງພຣະເຈົ້າຢ່າງແນ່ນອນ.	And she said unto her husband, Behold now, I perceive that this is a holy man of God, that passeth by us continually.
10	ໃຫ້ພວກເຮົາຈັດແຈງຫ້ອງນອນຢູ່ເທິງຫລັງຄາພຽງ ແລ້ວຈັດເອົາ ໂຕະ ຕັ່ງ ແລະຕະກຽງໄວ້ໃຫ້ເພິ່ນ ເມື່ອໃດເພິ່ນມາທາງເຮົາ ກໍໃຫ້ເພິ່ນພັກຢູ່ບ່ອນນັ້ນ.	Let us make, I pray thee, a little chamber on the wall; and let us set for him there a bed, and a table, and a seat, and a candlestick: and it shall be, when he cometh to us, that he shall turn in thither.
11	ມື້ໜຶ່ງ ເອລີຊາມາເມືອງຊູເນມອີກ ເພິ່ນໄດ້ແວ່ຂຶ້ນໄປພັກເຊົາຢູ່ຫ້ອງນັ້ນຄືເກົ່າ.	And it fell on a day, that he came thither, and he turned into the chamber and lay there.
12	ເພິ່ນໄດ້ບອກເກຮາຊີ ຄົນໃຊ້ຂອງເພິ່ນໃຫ້ໄປເອີ້ນຍິງຊາວຊູເນມມາຫາ.	And he said to Gehazi his servant, Call this Shunammite. And when he had called her, she stood before him.
13	ເມື່ອຍິງນັ້ນມາຮອດ ເອລີຊາກໍບອກໃຫ້ຄົນໃຊ້ຖາມນາງວ່າ ເຈົ້າໄດ້ຫຍຸ້ງຍາກລຳບາກຍ້ອນພວກເຮົາຫລາຍ ເຮົາຂໍຖາມເຈົ້າວ່າ ເຈົ້າຢາກໃຫ້ຂ້ອຍຊ່ອຍຫຍັງແດ່? ບາງທີເຈົ້າອາດຢາກໃຫ້ຂ້ອຍໄປທູນຄຸນງາມຄວາມດີຂອງເຈົ້າຕໍ່ກະສັດ ຫລືລາຍງານຕໍ່ຜູ້ບັນຊາການກອງທັບອາດເປັນໄປໄດ້. ນາງຈຶ່ງຕອບວ່າ, “ຂ້ານ້ອຍຢູ່ນຳຍາດພີ່ນ້ອງ ກໍພໍຢູ່ພໍກິນແລ້ວ.”	And he said unto him, Say now unto her, Behold, thou hast been careful for us with all this care; what is to be done for thee? wouldest thou be spoken for to the king, or to the captain of the host? And she answered, I dwell among mine own people.
14	ເອລີຊາຖາມເກຮາຊີວ່າ, “ຄັນຊັ້ນຈະໃຫ້ຂ້ອຍຊ່ອຍຫຍັງລາວ” ຄົນໃຊ້ຈຶ່ງຕອບວ່າ, “ມີຢູ່ ເພາະລາວເປັນຄົນບໍ່ມີລູກ ແລະຜົວລາວກໍເປັນຄົນເຖົ້າແກ່ຫລາຍແລ້ວ.”	And he said, What then is to be done for her? And Gehazi answered, Verily she hath no son, and her husband is old.
15	ເອລີຊາຈຶ່ງໃຫ້ຄົນໃຊ້ໄປເອີ້ນນາງຫລົບມາຫາອີກ ນາງກໍມາຫາ ແລະກໍຢືນຢູ່ປາກປະຕູ.	And he said, Call her. And when he had called her, she stood in the door.
16	ເພິ່ນຈຶ່ງບອກນາງວ່າ, “ປີໜ້າໃນເວລາດຽວກັນນີ້ ເຈົ້າຈະໄດ້ອູ້ມລູກຊາຍ.” ແຕ່ນາງອຸທານຂຶ້ນວ່າ, “ໂອຍ! ທ່ານເອີຍ ທ່ານເປັນຄົນຂອງພຣະເຈົ້າ ກະລຸນາຢ່າຕົວະຂ້ານ້ອຍເລີຍ.”	And he said, At this season, when the time cometh round, thou shalt embrace a son. And she said, Nay, my lord, thou man of God, do not lie unto thy handmaid.
17	ແລ້ວຕໍ່ມາຍິງຄົນນີ້ກໍຖືພາ ເມື່ອເຖິງເວລາກຳນົດ ລາວກໍເກີດລູກຊາຍຕາມທີ່ເອລີຊາໄດ້ບອກໄວ້.	And the woman conceived, and bare a son at that season, when the time came round, as Elisha had said unto her.
18	ເມື່ອເດັກນ້ອຍນີ້ໃຫຍ່ເຕີບໂຕຂຶ້ນ ເຊົ້າມື້ໜຶ່ງລາວກໍອອກໄປຫາພໍ່ຢູ່ທົ່ງນາ ໃນບ່ອນທີ່ພວກເຂົາກ່ຽວເຂົ້າຢູ່.	And when the child was grown, it fell on a day, that he went out to his father to the reapers.
19	ໃນເວລານັ້ນລາວຮ້ອງຂຶ້ນວ່າ, “ພໍ່ ຂ້ານ້ອຍເຈັບທ້ອງ ພໍ່ຂ້ານ້ອຍເຈັບທ້ອງ” ຜູ້ເປັນພໍ່ຈຶ່ງບອກຄົນໃຊ້ອູ້ມເອົາເດັກນັ້ນເມືອຫາແມ່ຢູ່ເຮືອນ.	And he said unto his father, My head, my head. And he said to his servant, Carry him to his mother.
20	ເມື່ອລາວອູ້ມເດັກນ້ອຍໄປໃຫ້ແມ່ຢູ່ເທິງເຮືອນ ນາງກໍອູ້ມເອົາລູກໄວ້ເທິງຕັກຈົນຮອດທ່ຽງ ແລ້ວລູກນັ້ນກໍສິ້ນໃຈຕາຍ.	And when he had taken him, and brought him to his mother, he sat on her knees till noon, and then died.
21	ຜູ້ເປັນແມ່ຈຶ່ງນຳລູກໄປປົງໄວ້ເທິງຕຽງນອນຂອງເອລີຊາ ແລ້ວນາງກໍອອກມາ ແລະອັດປະຕູໄວ້ ນາງເອີ້ນບອກຜົວວ່າ,	And she went up and laid him on the bed of the man of God, and shut [the door] upon him, and went out.
22	“ບອກຄົນໃຊ້ເອົາລໍໂຕໜຶ່ງມາໃຫ້ຂ້ອຍແດ່ ຂ້ອຍຈະຂີ່ໄປຫາຄົນຂອງພຣະເຈົ້າ ແລະຈະກັບມາໄວເທົ່າທີ່ຈະໄວໄດ້.”	And she called unto her husband, and said, Send me, I pray thee, one of the servants, and one of the asses, that I may run to the man of God, and come again.
23	ຜົວຈຶ່ງຖາມວ່າ, “ເປັນຫຍັງຈຶ່ງໄປຫາເພິ່ນມື້ນີ້? ມັນບໍ່ແມ່ນຍາມເດືອນອອກໃໝ່ ຫລືວັນບໍລິສຸດຂອງພຣະເຈົ້າ.”	And he said, Wherefore wilt thou go to him to-day? it is neither new moon nor sabbath. And she said, It shall be well.
24	ແຕ່ນາງຕອບວ່າ, “ບໍ່ເປັນຫຍັງດອກ” ແລ້ວນາງໄດ້ບອກໃຫ້ຄົນໃຊ້ເອົາອານໃສ່ຫລັງລໍ ແລະເວົ້າວ່າ, “ພາຂ້ອຍໄປໃຫ້ໄວເທົ່າທີ່ຈະໄວໄດ້ ຢ່າຢຸດກາງທາງຈົນກວ່າຈະໄດ້ຮັບຄຳສັ່ງຈາກຂ້ອຍເສຍກ່ອນ.”	Then she saddled an ass, and said to her servant, Drive, and go forward; slacken me not the riding, except I bid thee.
25	ນາງໄດ້ອອກເດີນທາງໄປຍັງພູກາເມນ ບ່ອນທີ່ເອລີຊາອາໄສຢູ່. ເມື່ອເອລີຊາຫລຽວເຫັນນາງແຕ່ໄກໆ ເພິ່ນຈຶ່ງເວົ້າຕໍ່ເກຮາຊີ ຄົນໃຊ້ຂອງເພິ່ນວ່າ,	So she went, and came unto the man of God to mount Carmel. And it came to pass, when the man of God saw her afar off, that he said to Gehazi his servant, Behold, yonder is the Shunammite:
26	“ເບິ່ງດຸຫັ້ນ ຍິງຊາວຊູເນມມາແມ່ນບໍ? ຮີບຟ້າວອອກໄປຕ້ອນຮັບ ແລະຖາມນາງເບິ່ງວ່າ, “ນາງທັງຜົວ ແລະລູກຍັງສະບາຍດີຢູ່ບໍ?	run, I pray thee, now to meet her, and say unto her, Is it well with thee? is it well with thy husband? is it well with the child? And she answered, It is well.
27	ແລ້ວນາງກໍຕອບວ່າ, “ສະບາຍດີ” ແຕ່ເມື່ອນາງເຂົ້າມາຫາເອລີຊາ ນາງກໍກົ້ມກອດຕີນຂອງເອລີຊາ ເກຮາຊີຈຶ່ງຍ່າງເຂົ້າມາຫາເພິ່ນຈະດຶງນາງອອກໄປ ແຕ່ເອລີຊາບອກວ່າ, “ປ່ອຍນາງເທີ້ນ ເຈົ້າບໍ່ເຫັນບໍວ່າ ນາງມີຄວາມທຸກໃຈອັນໃຫຍ່ຫລວງ ພຣະຜູ້ເປັນເຈົ້າຊົງອຳເລື່ອງນີ້ໄວ້ ໂດຍບໍ່ໄດ້ບອກໃຫ້ຂ້ອຍຮູ້.”	And when she came to the man of God to the hill, she caught hold of his feet. And Gehazi came near to thrust her away; but the man of God said, Let her alone: for her soul is vexed within her; and Jehovah hath hid it from me, and hath not told me.
28	ນາງເວົ້າຂຶ້ນວ່າ, “ຂ້ານ້ອຍເຄີຍຂໍຈາກທ່ານກ່ຽວກັບເລື່ອງລູກຊາຍນັ້ນ ແມ່ນບໍ? ຂ້ານ້ອຍໄດ້ເວົ້າບໍ່ແມ່ນບໍວ່າ ຢ່າຕົວະຂ້ານ້ອຍເລີຍ.”	Then she said, Did I desire a son of my lord? did I not say, Do not deceive me?
29	ເມື່ອເປັນດັ່ງນັ້ນ ເອລີຊາຈຶ່ງເວົ້າຕໍ່ເກຮາຊີວ່າ, “ຈົ່ງຟ້າວຖືໄມ້ເທົ້າຂອງຂ້ອຍນີ້ລ່ວງໜ້າໄປກ່ອນ ຖ້າວ່າເຈົ້າພົບໃຜກໍຢ່າຖາມສະບາຍເຂົາ ແລະຖ້າໃຜຖາມສະບາຍດີເຈົ້າກໍຢ່າຕອບເຂົາເດີ ໃຫ້ເອົາໄມ້ເທົ້າຂອງຂ້ອຍນີ້ໄປຢຽດໃສ່ເທິງເດັກນ້ອຍນັ້ນ.”	Then he said to Gehazi, Gird up thy loins, and take my staff in thy hand, and go thy way: if thou meet any man, salute him not; and if any salute thee, answer him not again: and lay my staff upon the face of the child.
30	ແຕ່ແມ່ຂອງເດັກນ້ອຍເວົ້າຕໍ່ເອລີຊາວ່າ, “ຂ້ານ້ອຍຂໍສາບານຢ່າງສັດຊື່ຕໍ່ພຣະຜູ້ເປັນເຈົ້າ ຜູ້ຊົງພຣະຊົນຢູ່ແລະຕໍ່ທ່ານເອງວ່າ ຂ້ານ້ອຍຈະບໍ່ຈາກທ່ານໄປ” ດັ່ງນັ້ນເອລີຊາ ແລະແມ່ຂອງເດັກຈຶ່ງພາກັນອອກເດີນທາງໄປຕາມຫລັງ ຊຶ່ງເກຮາຊີໄດ້ມຸ່ງໜ້າໄປກ່ອນ.	And the mother of the child said, As Jehovah liveth, and as thy soul liveth, I will not leave thee. And he arose, and followed her.
31	ແລະໄດ້ເອົາໄມ້ເທົ້າຢຽດໃສ່ເດັກນ້ອຍນັ້ນ ແຕ່ບໍ່ມີສຽງ ຫລືຄຳຕອບຢ່າງໃດເລີຍ ນາງຈຶ່ງກັບຄືນມາບອກເອລີຊາວ່າ, “ເດັກນ້ອຍຍັງບໍ່ທັນຟື້ນຕົວເທື່ອ.”	And Gehazi passed on before them, and laid the staff upon the face of the child; but there was neither voice, nor hearing. Wherefore he returned to meet him, and told him, saying, The child is not awaked.
32	ເມື່ອເອລີຊາເຂົ້າໄປໃນເຮືອນ ເພິ່ນກໍເຫັນເດັກນ້ອຍນອນຢູ່ເທິງຕຽງ ເພິ່ນຈຶ່ງອັດປະຕູໄວ້.	And when Elisha was come into the house, behold, the child was dead, and laid upon his bed.
33	ແລ້ວໄດ້ອ້ອນວອນຫາພຣະຜູ້ເປັນເຈົ້າ.	He went in therefore, and shut the door upon them twain, and prayed unto Jehovah.
34	ເພິ່ນຂຶ້ນເທິງຕຽງ ແລະນອນຢຽດຕົວລົງເຕັງເດັກນ້ອຍ ໂດຍເອົາປາກເຕັງປາກ ຕາເຕັງຕາ ແລະມືເຕັງມື ເມື່ອເພິ່ນຢຽດເຕັງເດັກນ້ອຍຢູ່ນັ້ນເນື້ອໜັງຂອງເດັກກໍຮູ້ສຶກອຸ່ນຂຶ້ນມາ.	And he went up, and lay upon the child, and put his mouth upon his mouth, and his eyes upon his eyes, and his hands upon his hands: and he stretched himself upon him; and the flesh of the child waxed warm.
35	ເພິ່ນຈຶ່ງລຸກຍ່າງໄປມາຢູ່ໃນຫ້ອງແລ້ວໄປນອນຢຽດຕົວເຕັງເດັກນ້ອຍອີກເທື່ອໜຶ່ງ ເທື່ອນີ້ເດັກນ້ອຍຈາມເຖິງເຈັດເທື່ອ ແລະມືນຕາຂຶ້ນ.	Then he returned, and walked in the house once to and fro; and went up, and stretched himself upon him: and the child sneezed seven times, and the child opened his eyes.
36	ແລ້ວເອລີຊາຮ້ອງບອກເກຮາຊີ ໃຫ້ໄປເອີ້ນແມ່ຂອງເດັກນ້ອຍມາ ເມື່ອນາງມາຮອດ ເພິ່ນຈຶ່ງເວົ້າຕໍ່ນາງວ່າ, “ເອົາລູກຊາຍຂອງເຈົ້າໄປແມ.”	And he called Gehazi, and said, Call this Shunammite. So he called her. And when she was come in unto him, he said, Take up thy son.
37	ນາງເຂົ້າໄປທາງໃນ ກົ້ມຂາບຕີນເອລີຊາ ແລະພາລູກຊາຍຂອງນາງອອກໄປ.	Then she went in, and fell at his feet, and bowed herself to the ground; and she took up her son, and went out.
38	ເອລີຊາມາຮອດເມືອງກິນການອີກ ເມື່ອແຜ່ນດິນເກີດການອຶດຢາກອາຫານ ແລະພວກລູກສິດຂອງຜູ້ທຳນວາຍນັ່ງຢູ່ ຕໍ່ໜ້າເພິ່ນ ແລະເພິ່ນໄດ້ບອກກັບຄົນໃຊ້ຂອງຕົນວ່າ “ຈົ່ງເອົາໝໍ້ໜ່ວຍໃຫຍ່ຄ້າງໄຟ ແລະຕົ້ມແກງໃຫ້ແກ່ພວກລູກສິດຂອງຜູ້ທຳນວາຍສາ”	And Elisha came again to Gilgal. And there was a dearth in the land; and the sons of the prophets were sitting before him; and he said unto his servant, Set on the great pot, and boil pottage for the sons of the prophets.
39	ຄົນໜຶ່ງໃນພວກນັ້ນໄດ້ອອກໄປເກັບຜັກປ່າຢູ່ຕາມທົ່ງນາ ແລະພົບເຄືອໝາກໄມ້ປ່າເຄືອໜຶ່ງ ພວກເຂົາເກັບເອົາຜັກປ່ານັ້ນ ກັບນ້ຳເຕົ້າປ່າຈົນເຕັມພົກ ແລະກັບມາປາດໃສ່ໃນໝໍ້ແກງໂດຍທີ່ບໍ່ຮູ້ວ່າເປັນຜັກ ຫລືໝາກຫຍັງ	And one went out into the field to gather herbs, and found a wild vine, and gathered thereof wild gourds his lap full, and came and shred them into the pot of pottage; for they knew them not.
40	ແລ້ວລາວກໍຖອກແກງອອກໃຫ້ຄົນເຫລົ່ານັ້ນກິນ ຂະນະທີ່ພວກເຂົາກຳລັງກິນແກງຢູ່ນັ້ນ ລາວຮ້ອງຂຶ້ນວ່າ “ຂ້າແດ່ຄົນຂອງພຣະເຈົ້າ ມີຄວາມຕາຍຢູ່ໃນໝໍ້ນີ້” ແລະພວກເຂົາກໍຮັບປະທານບໍ່ໄດ້	So they poured out for the men to eat. And it came to pass, as they were eating of the pottage, that they cried out, and said, O man of God, there is death in the pot. And they could not eat thereof.
41	ເພິ່ນໄດ້ບອກວ່າ “ຈົ່ງເອົາແປ້ງມາພີ້” ເພິ່ນໃສ່ແປ້ງລົງໃນໝໍ້ ແລະບອກວ່າ “ຈົ່ງຖອກອອກໃຫ້ຄົນເຫລົ່ານັ້ນຮັບປະທານ” ແລະບໍ່ມີອັນຕະລາຍຢູ່ໃນໝໍ້ນັ້ນ.	But he said, Then bring meal. And he cast it into the pot; and he said, Pour out for the people, that they may eat. And there was no harm in the pot.
42	ມີຊາຍຄົນໜຶ່ງມາຈາກເຮືອນບາອານ-ຊາລິຊາ ນຳສິ່ງຂອງມາໃຫ້ຄົນຂອງພຣະເຈົ້າ ມີເຂົ້າຈີ່ຊຶ່ງເປັນໝາກຜົນທຳອິດຄືເຂົ້າຈີ່ທີ່ເຮັດດ້ວຍເຂົ້າບາເລຊາວກ້ອນແລະເຂົ້າຮວງໃໝ່ໃສ່ກະສອບຂອງລາວມາ ແລະເອລີຊາບອກວ່າ “ຈົ່ງໃຫ້ແກ່ຄົນເຫລົ່ານັ້ນກິນເທີ້ນ”	And there came a man from Baal-shalishah, and brought the man of God bread of the first-fruits, twenty loaves of barley, and fresh ears of grain in his sack. And he said, Give unto the people, that they may eat.
43	ແຕ່ຄົນໃຊ້ຄົນນີ້ຕອບວ່າ “ຂ້າພະເຈົ້າຈະຕັ້ງອາຫານເຫລົ່ານີ້ໃຫ້ຄົນໜຶ່ງຮ້ອຍຄົນກິນໄດ້ຢ່າງໃດ” ເພິ່ນຈຶ່ງສັ່ງຊ້ຳວ່າ “ຈົ່ງຍົກໃຫ້ຄົນເຫລົ່ານັ້ນກິນສາ ເພາະພຣະຜູ້ເປັນເຈົ້າກ່າວສັ່ງດັ່ງນີ້ວ່າ ‘ພວກເຂົາຈະໄດ້ຮັບປະທານ ແລະຍັງເຫລືອອີກ’”	And his servant said, What, should I set this before a hundred men? But he said, Give the people, that they may eat; for thus saith Jehovah, They shall eat, and shall leave thereof.
44	ລາວຈຶ່ງຕັ້ງອາຫານໄວ້ຕໍ່ໜ້າພວກເຂົາທັງຫລາຍ, ພວກເຂົາກໍຮັບປະທານ ແລະຍັງເຫລືອຢູ່ຕາມພຣະທຳຂອງພຣະຜູ້ເປັນເຈົ້າ.	So he set it before them, and they did eat, and left thereof, according to the word of Jehovah.
