ຊາມູເອນ ສະບັບຕົ້ນ

1	ຊາອູນ ອາຍຸເພິ່ນໄດ້ ສາມສິບປີ ເມື່ອເພິ່ນໄດ້ເປັນກະສັດ ແລະປົກຄອງອິສຣາເອນຢູ່ສີ່ສິບປີ.	Saul was [forty] years old when he began to reign; and when he had reigned two years over Israel,
2	ຊາອູນໄດ້ເລືອກເອົາຊາວອິສຣາເອນສາມພັນຄົນໄປຢູ່ກັບຕົນ ແລະສົ່ງພວກອື່ນກັບຄືນເມືອບ້ານ ເພິ່ນແບ່ງເອົາສອງພັນຄົນໄປບ້ານມິກມາດ ແລະໄປເທິງພູນ້ອຍທີ່ເມືອງເບັດເອນກັບເພິ່ນ ສ່ວນພັນຄົນກໍໃຫ້ໄປກັບໂຢນາທານ ລູກຊາຍຂອງຕົນທີ່ເມືອງກິເບອາ ໃນເຂດແດນຂອງຕະກູນເບັນຢາມິນ.	Saul chose him three thousand men of Israel, whereof two thousand were with Saul in Michmash and in the mount of Beth-el, and a thousand were with Jonathan in Gibeah of Benjamin: and the rest of the people he sent every man to his tent.

And Jonathan smote the garrison of the Philistines that was in Geba: and the Philistines heard of it. And Saul blew the trumpet throughout all the land, saying, Let the Hebrews hear.
4	ເມື່ອຊາວອິສຣາເອນ ໄດ້ຍິນຂ່າວວ່າຊາອູນໄດ້ຂ້ານາຍທະຫານຟີລິດສະຕີນ ແລະຮູ້ວ່າຊາວຟີລິດສະຕີນກໍກຽດຊັງພວກຕົນ ພວກເຂົາຈຶ່ງຕອບຄຳຮຽກຮ້ອງ ແລະເຂົ້າໄປສົມທົບກັບຊາອູນທີ່ເມືອງກິນການ.	And all Israel heard say that Saul had smitten the garrison of the Philistines, and also that Israel was had in abomination with the Philistines. And the people were gathered together after Saul to Gilgal.
5	ຊາວຟີລິດສະຕີນ ໄດ້ທ້ອນໂຮມກຳລັງສູ້ຮົບກັບຊາວ ອິສຣາເອນ ພວກເຂົາມີລົດຮົບສາມສິບພັນຄັນ ທະຫານມ້າຫ້າພັນຄົນ ແລະມີທະຫານຫລວງຫລາຍເໝືອນດັ່ງເມັດດິນຊາຍຢູ່ຝັ່ງທະເລ ພວກເຂົາພາກັນໄປບ້ານມິກມາດທາງທິດຕາເວັນອອກຂອງ ເບັດ-ອາເວນ ແລະຕັ້ງຄ້າຍພັກຢູ່ທີ່ນັ້ນ.	And the Philistines assembled themselves together to fight with Israel, thirty thousand chariots, and six thousand horsemen, and people as the sand which is on the sea-shore in multitude: and they came up, and encamped in Michmash, eastward of Beth-aven.
6	ຝ່າຍຊາວອິສຣາເອນກໍຖືກບຸກລຸກໂຈມຕີຢ່າງດຸເດືອດ ແລະຢູ່ໃນທ່າຈົນຕາແຈ ພວກເຂົາຈຶ່ງໄປລີ້ຢູ່ໃນຖ້ຳໃນໂກນ ໃນລະຫວ່າງໂງ່ນຫີນ ໃນຂຸມ ແລະໃນສ້າງ.	When the men of Israel saw that they were in a strait (for the people were distressed), then the people did hide themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in coverts, and in pits.
7	ຄົນອື່ນໆ ອີກກໍຂ້າມແມ່ນ້ຳຢໍແດນໄປໃນເຂດແດນເມືອງຄາດ ແລະເມືອງກິເລອາດ. ສ່ວນຊາອູນກໍຍັງຢູ່ໃນເມືອງກິນການ ແລະປະຊາຊົນທີ່ຢູ່ນຳເພິ່ນກໍຕົກສະທ້ານຢ້ານກົວ.	Now some of the Hebrews had gone over the Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead; but as for Saul, he was yet in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling.
8	ຊາອູນໄດ້ຄອຍຖ້າຢູ່ເຈັດມື້ຕາມຄຳແນະນຳຂອງຊາມູເອນ ແຕ່ວ່າ ຊາມູເອນບໍ່ໄດ້ມາເມືອງກິນການພວກປະຊາຊົນຈຶ່ງຄ່ອຍໜີຈາກຊາອູນ.	And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel [had appointed]: but Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him.
9	ຊາອູນຈຶ່ງເວົ້າຕໍ່ພວກເຂົາວ່າ, “ຈົ່ງນຳເອົາເຄື່ອງເຜົາຖວາຍບູຊາ ແລະເຄື່ອງຖວາຍບູຊາເພື່ອຄວາມສາມັກຄີທຳໃຫ້ເຮົາ” ແລ້ວພະອົງກໍຖວາຍເຄື່ອງບູຊານັ້ນ.	And Saul said, Bring hither the burnt-offering to me, and the peace-offerings. And he offered the burnt-offering.
10	ເມື່ອພິທີສຳເລັດແລ້ວ ຊາມູເອນກໍມາຮອດ ຊາອູນຈຶ່ງອອກໄປຕ້ອນຮັບເພິ່ນ.	And it came to pass that, as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt-offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him.
11	ຊາມູເອນໄດ້ເວົ້າຂຶ້ນວ່າ, “ພຣະອົງກຳລັງເຮັດຫຍັງ?”ຊາອູນຕອບວ່າ, “ເຮົາເຫັນວ່າ ປະຊາຊົນກຳລັງຈະຈາກເຮົາໄປ ທ່ານເອງກໍບໍ່ມາຕາມທີ່ໄດ້ເວົ້າໄວ້ ແລະພວກຟີລິດສະຕີນກໍກຳລັງທ້ອນໂຮມກັນທີ່ບ້ານມິກມາດ.	And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines assembled themselves together at Michmash;
12	ເຮົາຈຶ່ງຄິດວ່າ ຊາວຟີລິດສະຕີນຈະມາໂຈມຕີເຮົາໃນເມືອງກິນການນີ້ ເຮົາຈຶ່ງຈຳເປັນຕ້ອງຖວາຍບູຊາເພື່ອຂໍຄວາມກະລຸນາຈາກພຣະເຈົ້າ.”	therefore said I, Now will the Philistines come down upon me to Gilgal, and I have not entreated the favor of Jehovah: I forced myself therefore, and offered the burnt-offering.
13	ຊາມູເອນຕອບຂຶ້ນວ່າ, “ເປັນການໂງ່ງ່າວທີ່ສຸດທີ່ເຮັດຢ່າງນີ້ ພະອົງບໍ່ໄດ້ເຊື່ອຟັງຄຳສັ່ງຂອງພຣະຜູ້ເປັນເຈົ້າ ຖ້າວ່າ ພະອົງຫາກເຊື່ອຟັງພຣະອົງ ພຣະຜູ້ເປັນເຈົ້າຈະໃຫ້ພະອົງ ແລະເຊື້ອສາຍຂອງພະອົງປົກຄອງລາຊະອານາຈັກອິສຣາເອນຕະຫລອດໄປ.	And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly; thou hast not kept the commandment of Jehovah thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would Jehovah have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.
14	ແຕ່ວ່າ ດຽວນີ້ຍ້ອນພະອົງບໍ່ເຊື່ອຟັງພຣະຜູ້ເປັນເຈົ້າ ພະອົງຈຶ່ງຈະບໍ່ຍືນຍາວຕໍ່ໄປ ພຣະຜູ້ເປັນເຈົ້າຈະສົ່ງຊາຍຜູ້ໜຶ່ງທີ່ພຣະອົງຊົງພໍພຣະໄທ ແລະຈະຊົງແຕ່ງຕັ້ງໃຫ້ລາວປົກຄອງໄພ່ພົນຂອງພຣະອົງ.”	But now thy kingdom shall not continue: Jehovah hath sought him a man after his own heart, and Jehovah hath appointed him to be prince over his people, because thou hast not kept that which Jehovah commanded thee.
15	ສ່ວນຊາມູເອນໄດ້ຈາກເມືອງກິນການໄປ ປະຊາຊົນທີ່ຍັງເຫລືອກໍຕິດຕາມຊາອູນໄປພົບທະຫານຂອງເພິ່ນ ພວກເຂົາໄປຈາກເມືອງກິນການຈົນຮອດເມືອງກິເບອາ ເຂດແດນເບັນຢາມິນ ຊາອູນໄດ້ກວດກາເບິ່ງທະຫານຂອງພະອົງຊຶ່ງມີປະມານຫົກຮ້ອຍຄົນ.	And Samuel arose, and gat him up from Gilgal unto Gibeah of Benjamin. And Saul numbered the people that were present with him, about six hundred men.
16	ແລ້ວຊາອູນກັບໂຢນາທານລູກຊາຍຂອງເພິ່ນ ແລະພວກທະຫານກໍພັກຢູ່ທີ່ເມືອງເກບາໃນເຂດແດນເບັນຢາມິນ ສ່ວນພວກຟີລິດສະຕີນກໍຕັ້ງຄ້າຍພັກຢູ່ທີມິກມາດ.	And Saul, and Jonathan his son, and the people that were present with them, abode in Geba of Benjamin: but the Philistines encamped in Michmash.
17	ຝ່າຍທະຫານຟີລິດສະຕີນໄດ້ມຸ່ງໜ້າອອກຈາກຄ້າຍພັກຂອງພວກເຂົາ ຈັດເປັນສາມໝວດ ເພື່ອໄປຫລອນໂຈມຕີຄື.	And the spoilers came out of the camp of the Philistines in three companies: one company turned unto the way that leadeth to Ophrah, unto the land of Shual;
18	ໝວດທີໜຶ່ງໄປທາງໂອຟຣາໃນເຂດແດນຊູອານ ໝວດທີສອງກໍໄປທາງເມືອງເບັດ-ໂຮໂຣນ ແລະໝວດທີສາມໄປທາງເຂດແດນກົງກັນຂ້າມກັບຮ່ອມພູເຊໂບຢິມ ແລະໄປຕາມຖິ່ນແຫ້ງແລ້ງກັນດານ.	and another company turned the way to Beth-horon; and another company turned the way of the border that looketh down upon the valley of Zeboim toward the wilderness.
19	ໃນເວລານັ້ນ ປະເທດອິສຣາເອນບໍ່ມີຊ່າງຕີເຫລັກ ເພາະວ່າຊາວຟີລິດສະຕີນຫ້າມບໍ່ໃຫ້ຊາວເຮັບເຣີຕີດາບຫລືຫອກ.	Now there was no smith found throughout all the land of Israel; for the Philistines said, Lest the Hebrews make them swords or spears:
20	ດັ່ງນັ້ນ ພວກອິສຣາເອນຈຶ່ງຕ້ອງເອົາໄຖ ສຽມ ຂວານແລະກ່ຽວຂອງພວກເຂົາໄປໃຫ້ພວກຟີລິດສະຕີນຝົນໃຫ້.	but all the Israelites went down to the Philistines, to sharpen every man his share, and his coulter, and his axe, and his mattock;
21	ສຳລັບຄ່າຝົນຂວານ ແລະເຫລັກປະຕັກ (ໄມ້ແສ້ບັງຄັບງົວ) ຕົກເປັນເງິນໜຶ່ງຫລຽນ ແລະສອງຫລຽນເປັນຄ່າໄຖແລະສຽມ.	yet they had a file for the mattocks, and for the coulters, and for the forks, and for the axes, and to set the goads.
22	ສະນັ້ນ ໃນມື້ສູ້ຮົບມີແຕ່ຊາອູນ ແລະໂຢນາທານລູກຊາຍຂອງເພິ່ນເທົ່ານັ້ນທີ່ມີດາບ ແລະຫອກ ສ່ວນພວກທະຫານອິສຣາເອນບໍ່ມີຫຍັງໝົດ.	So it came to pass in the day of battle, that there was neither sword nor spear found in the hand of any of the people that were with Saul and Jonathan: but with Saul and with Jonathan his son was there found.
23	ພວກຟີລິດສະຕີນກໍສົ່ງໝວດທະຫານຂອງພວກເຂົາອອກໄປປ້ອງກັນຢູ່ທາງຜ່ານໄປບ້ານມິກມາດ.	And the garrison of the Philistines went out unto the pass of Michmash.
