And Saul blew the trumpet throughout all the land, saying, Let the Hebrews hear.

And the people were gathered together after Saul to Gilgal.

6ຝ່າຍ​ຊາວອິ­ສຣາ­ເອນກໍ​ຖືກ​ບຸ­ກລຸກ​ໂຈມ​ຕີ​ຢ່າງ​ດຸ­ເດືອດ ແລະ​ຢູ່​ໃນ​ທ່າ​ຈົນ­ຕາ­ແຈ ພວກ​ເຂົາ​ຈຶ່ງ​ໄປ​ລີ້​ຢູ່​ໃນ​ຖ້ຳ​ໃນ​ໂກນ ໃນ​ລະ­ຫວ່າງ​ໂງ່ນ​ຫີນ ໃນ​ຂຸມ ແລະ​ໃນ​ສ້າງ.When the men of Israel saw that they were in a strait (for the people were distressed), then the people did hide themselves in caves, and in thickets, and in rocks, and in coverts, and in pits.

8ຊາ­ອູນໄດ້​ຄອຍ​ຖ້າ​ຢູ່​ເຈັດ​ມື້​ຕາມ​ຄຳ​ແນະ­ນຳ​ຂອງຊາ­ມູ­ເອນ ແຕ່​ວ່າ ຊາ­ມູ­ເອນບໍ່​ໄດ້​ມາ​ເມືອງກິນ­ການພວກ​ປະ­ຊາ­ຊົນ​ຈຶ່ງ​ຄ່ອຍ​ໜີ​ຈາກຊາ­ອູນ.And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel [had appointed]: but Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him.
9ຊາ­ອູນຈຶ່ງ​ເວົ້າ​ຕໍ່​ພວກ​ເຂົາ​ວ່າ, “ຈົ່ງ​ນຳ​ເອົາ​ເຄື່ອງ​ເຜົາ​ຖວາຍ​ບູ­ຊາ ແລະ​ເຄື່ອງ​ຖວາຍ​ບູ­ຊາ​ເພື່ອ​ຄວາມ​ສາ­ມັກ­ຄີ​ທຳ​ໃຫ້​ເຮົາ” ແລ້ວ​ພະ​ອົງ​ກໍ​ຖວາຍ​ເຄື່ອງ​ບູ­ຊາ​ນັ້ນ.And Saul said, Bring hither the burnt-offering to me, and the peace-offerings. And he offered the burnt-offering.
10ເມື່ອ​ພິ­ທີ​ສຳ­ເລັດ​ແລ້ວ ຊາ­ມູ­ເອນກໍ​ມາ​ຮອດ ຊາ­ອູນຈຶ່ງ​ອອກ​ໄປ​ຕ້ອນ­ຮັບ​ເພິ່ນ.And it came to pass that, as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt-offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him.
11ຊາ­ມູ­ເອນໄດ້​ເວົ້າ​ຂຶ້ນ​ວ່າ, “ພຣະ­ອົງ​ກຳ­ລັງ​ເຮັດ​ຫຍັງ?”ຊາ­ອູນຕອບ​ວ່າ, “ເຮົາ​ເຫັນ​ວ່າ ປະ­ຊາ­ຊົນ​ກຳ­ລັງ​ຈະ​ຈາກ​ເຮົາ​ໄປ ທ່ານ​ເອງ​ກໍ​ບໍ່​ມາ​ຕາມ​ທີ່​ໄດ້​ເວົ້າ​ໄວ້ ແລະ​ພວກຟີ­ລິດ­ສະ­ຕີນກໍ​ກຳ­ລັງ​ທ້ອນ­ໂຮມ​ກັນ​ທີ່​ບ້ານມິກ­ມາດ.And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines assembled themselves together at Michmash;
12ເຮົາ​ຈຶ່ງ​ຄິດ​ວ່າ ຊາວຟີ­ລິດ­ສະ­ຕີນຈະ​ມາ​ໂຈມ​ຕີ​ເຮົາ​ໃນ​ເມືອງກິນ­ການນີ້ ເຮົາ​ຈຶ່ງ​ຈຳ­ເປັນ​ຕ້ອງ​ຖວາຍ​ບູ­ຊາ​ເພື່ອ​ຂໍ​ຄວາມ​ກະ­ລຸ­ນາ​ຈາກພຣະ­ເຈົ້າ.”therefore said I, Now will the Philistines come down upon me to Gilgal, and I have not entreated the favor of Jehovah: I forced myself therefore, and offered the burnt-offering.
13ຊາ­ມູ­ເອນຕອບ​ຂຶ້ນ​ວ່າ, “ເປັນ​ການ​ໂງ່​ງ່າວ​ທີ່​ສຸດ​ທີ່​ເຮັດ​ຢ່າງ​ນີ້ ພະ​ອົງ​ບໍ່​ໄດ້​ເຊື່ອ​ຟັງ​ຄຳ​ສັ່ງ​ຂອງພຣະ­ຜູ້­ເປັນ­ເຈົ້າ ຖ້າ­ວ່າ ພະ​ອົງ​ຫາກ​ເຊື່ອ​ຟັງ​ພຣະ­ອົງ ພຣະ­ຜູ້­ເປັນ­ເຈົ້າຈະ​ໃຫ້​ພະ​ອົງ ແລະ​ເຊື້ອ­ສາຍ​ຂອງ​ພະ​ອົງ​ປົກ­ຄອງ​ລາ­ຊະ​ອາ­ນາ­ຈັກອິ­ສຣາ­ເອນຕະ­ຫລອດ​ໄປ.And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly; thou hast not kept the commandment of Jehovah thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would Jehovah have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever.
14ແຕ່​ວ່າ ດຽວ­ນີ້​ຍ້ອນ​ພະ​ອົງ​ບໍ່​ເຊື່ອ​ຟັງພຣະ­ຜູ້­ເປັນ­ເຈົ້າ ພະ​ອົງ​ຈຶ່ງ​ຈະ​ບໍ່​ຍືນ​ຍາວ​ຕໍ່​ໄປ ພຣະ­ຜູ້­ເປັນ­ເຈົ້າຈະ​ສົ່ງ​ຊາຍ​ຜູ້​ໜຶ່ງ​ທີ່​ພຣະ­ອົງ​ຊົງ​ພໍ­ພຣະ­ໄທ ແລະ​ຈະ​ຊົງ​ແຕ່ງ­ຕັ້ງ​ໃຫ້​ລາວ​ປົກ­ຄອງ​ໄພ່​ພົນ​ຂອງ​ພຣະ­ອົງ.”But now thy kingdom shall not continue: Jehovah hath sought him a man after his own heart, and Jehovah hath appointed him to be prince over his people, because thou hast not kept that which Jehovah commanded thee.

And Saul numbered the people that were present with him, about six hundred men.
16ແລ້ວຊາ­ອູນກັບໂຢ­ນາ­ທານລູກ​ຊາຍ​ຂອງ​ເພິ່ນ ແລະ​ພວກ​ທະ­ຫານ​ກໍ​ພັກ​ຢູ່​ທີ່​ເມືອງເກ­ບາໃນ​ເຂດ​ແດນເບັນ­ຢາ­ມິນ ສ່ວນ​ພວກຟີ­ລິດ­ສະ­ຕີນກໍ​ຕັ້ງ​ຄ້າຍ​ພັກ​ຢູ່​ທີມິກ­ມາດ.And Saul, and Jonathan his son, and the people that were present with them, abode in Geba of Benjamin: but the Philistines encamped in Michmash.
17ຝ່າຍ​ທະ­ຫານຟີ­ລິດ­ສະ­ຕີນໄດ້​ມຸ່ງ​ໜ້າ​ອອກ​ຈາກ​ຄ້າຍ​ພັກ​ຂອງ​ພວກ​ເຂົາ ຈັດ​ເປັນ​ສາມ​ໝວດ ເພື່ອ​ໄປ​ຫລອນ​ໂຈມ​ຕີ​ຄື.And the spoilers came out of the camp of the Philistines in three companies: one company turned unto the way that leadeth to Ophrah, unto the land of Shual;
18ໝວດ​ທີ​ໜຶ່ງ​ໄປ​ທາງໂອ­ຟຣາໃນ​ເຂດ​ແດນຊູ­ອານ ໝວດ​ທີ​ສອງ​ກໍ​ໄປ​ທາງ​ເມືອງເບັດ-ໂຮ­ໂຣນ ແລະ​ໝວດ​ທີ​ສາມ​ໄປ​ທາງ​ເຂດ​ແດນ​ກົງ­ກັນ­ຂ້າມ​ກັບ​ຮ່ອມ​ພູເຊ­ໂບ­ຢິມ ແລະ​ໄປ​ຕາມ​ຖິ່ນ​ແຫ້ງ­ແລ້ງ​ກັນ­ດານ.and another company turned the way to Beth-horon; and another company turned the way of the border that looketh down upon the valley of Zeboim toward the wilderness.
19ໃນ​ເວ­ລາ​ນັ້ນ ປະ­ເທດອິ­ສຣາ­ເອນບໍ່​ມີ​ຊ່າງ​ຕີ​ເຫລັກ ເພາະ­ວ່າ​ຊາວຟີ­ລິດ­ສະ­ຕີນຫ້າມ​ບໍ່​ໃຫ້​ຊາວເຮັບ­ເຣີຕີ​ດາບ​ຫລື​ຫອກ.Now there was no smith found throughout all the land of Israel; for the Philistines said, Lest the Hebrews make them swords or spears:
20ດັ່ງ­ນັ້ນ ພວກອິ­ສຣາ­ເອນຈຶ່ງ​ຕ້ອງ​ເອົາ​ໄຖ ສຽມ ຂວານ​ແລະ​ກ່ຽວ​ຂອງ​ພວກ​ເຂົາ​ໄປ​ໃຫ້​ພວກຟີ­ລິດ­ສະ­ຕີນຝົນ​ໃຫ້.but all the Israelites went down to the Philistines, to sharpen every man his share, and his coulter, and his axe, and his mattock;
21ສຳ­ລັບ​ຄ່າ​ຝົນ​ຂວານ ແລະ​ເຫລັກ​ປະ­ຕັກ (ໄມ້­ແສ້​ບັງ­ຄັບ​ງົວ) ຕົກ​ເປັນ​ເງິນ​ໜຶ່ງ​ຫລຽນ ແລະ​ສອງ​ຫລຽນ​ເປັນ​ຄ່າ​ໄຖ​ແລະ​ສຽມ.yet they had a file for the mattocks, and for the coulters, and for the forks, and for the axes, and to set the goads.
22ສະ­ນັ້ນ ໃນ​ມື້​ສູ້​ຮົບ​ມີ​ແຕ່ຊາ­ອູນ ແລະໂຢ­ນາ­ທານລູກ​ຊາຍ​ຂອງ​ເພິ່ນ​ເທົ່າ​ນັ້ນ​ທີ່​ມີ​ດາບ ແລະ​ຫອກ ສ່ວນ​ພວກ​ທະ­ຫານອິ­ສຣາ­ເອນບໍ່​ມີ​ຫຍັງ​ໝົດ.So it came to pass in the day of battle, that there was neither sword nor spear found in the hand of any of the people that were with Saul and Jonathan: but with Saul and with Jonathan his son was there found.
